So i have gone over and over this in my head and had many arguments with my cousin Sam, and my Brothers, and my Husband etc. etc...
The Question: Why are we all obsessed with Edward?
My Theory: Well i think they are obvious reasons :
1. He is supposedly the most beautiful man that ever existed. (Of course because it is a book, we all get to dream up our own version of beautiful. Thus making it much more fun to visualize:)
2. He is dangerous. (Let's face it. We all had our bad boy phase, Either past or present. There is something so enticing about someone that is all wrong for you.)
3.He is a hopeless romantic. ( Since the time we could talk and walk, we would all dress up like some damsel in distress {a.k.a. Princess} and hope for True love. It's been bred into us. We think life is not complete unless our Prince Charming has come to rescue us.)
4.He is a superhero. ( Who doesn't want an intensely beautiful, superhuman, badboy, lovesick, male at their beckon call? Admit it. You want at least one of the things metioned.:)
So we could lie, and say we don't like this silly teenage, angst driven book. Or we can embrace it full on. And give in to our adolescent craving:)
The Point: This book is not for Guys. Period. Nothing about this book is appealing to a Man. Especially a man in your life. So we should all go to Twilight this weekend, with our girlies... And play it down to our men. Edward isn't that big of a deal, Honey:) He's got nothing on you Babe. Believe me, it's what they all want to hear.

Oh I love love loved that! I just got so excited. Do you have your tickets yet? I'm going Saturday and I am so hoping it's not a big huge disappointment. It's going to be amazing.... right???
I couldn't have said it better myself. I read twilight before the cast was announced so I had the privilege of creating my own vision of what he looked like. Luckily, he had Jesse's face in my dreams :).......those were good dreams. Seeing the movie late tomorrow night with a group of 30 women. We have our Team Edward shirts and everything :) What about you?
I am going to see it tonight! I am so excited! Dave loves it when I read the books because it is a "good" time for him!

My poor hubby--I tricked him into going & seeing it with me!
Went down like this: I called Ryan on the phone; "hey, do you want to go see the new James Bond movie tonight?" Of course I got a 'yes' answer. The deceiving had already begun, because I had already purchased the tickets for Twilight. Anyway, told him to meet me there because I had some errands to do. I acted like I already had seats saved, so he didn't even pay attention to the movie he was actually walking into. Once the movie started & he put two in two together...I just got the look of death! But he actually ended up liking it. PHEW! All that night he was probing me for all the info that happens in the sequels.
Aja, this is the gayest shiz I've ever seen on the internet besides the one time I caught Steve looking at gay porn. I will stab Edward with a stake through the heart and boil him in holy water outside at high noon!

haha! So true. I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know how he looks in the film, but did you see the Vanity Fair spread? Wow and wow!
